Fresh Fish Tacos with Avocado Lime Sauce

Delicious and heart-healthy fish tacos with a creamy avocado lime sauce, perfect for a cholesterol-lowering diet.
Ingredients
- 1 lb white fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small whole grain or corn tortillas
- 1 avocado, mashed
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 cup shredded red cabbage
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Place fish fillets on a baking sheet and brush with the spice mixture. Bake for 8-10 minutes until fish is cooked through.
While the fish is baking, mix together mashed avocado, lime juice, Greek yogurt, and cilantro to make the avocado lime sauce.
Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
To assemble the tacos, divide the fish among the tortillas. Top with red cabbage, tomatoes, red onion, and a drizzle of avocado lime sauce.
Serve with lime wedges on the side.
