Mediterranean Baked Salmon

A heart-healthy and cholesterol-lowering baked salmon recipe inspired by Mediterranean flavors.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
Place salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush the olive oil mixture over the salmon fillets.
Top each fillet with lemon slices.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
