Middle Eastern Avocado Toast

A delicious and heart-healthy Middle Eastern-inspired avocado toast recipe packed with fiber, plant-based proteins, and healthy fats.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 slices of whole grain bread
  • 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Toast the whole grain bread slices until crispy.
In a small bowl, mash the ripe avocado with a fork until smooth.
Add minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to the mashed avocado and mix well.
Spread the avocado mixture evenly on the toasted bread slices.
Drizzle extra virgin olive oil on top of the avocado mixture.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
