Asian-Inspired Oatmeal Bowl

A cholesterol-lowering oatmeal bowl inspired by Asian flavors, packed with heart-healthy ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp flaxseeds
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup mixed berries (such as blueberries and raspberries)
- 1 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
In a saucepan, combine rolled oats and almond milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until oats are creamy and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes).
Stir in chia seeds, flaxseeds, ginger, and cinnamon. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until well combined.
Remove from heat and transfer oatmeal to a bowl.
Top the oatmeal with sliced almonds, mixed berries, coconut flakes, and a drizzle of maple syrup if desired.
