Lemon Herb Grilled Chicken

A delicious and heart-healthy grilled chicken recipe with a burst of lemon and herbs.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and discard the excess marinade.
Grill chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and juices run clear.
Remove chicken from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve the grilled chicken with a side of steamed vegetables or a salad for a complete heart-healthy meal.
